When you use MyRestaurantGuru.com, you may set up your personal profile, form relationships, send messages, perform searches and set up events. You have the option to provide demographic information (such as number of times you dine out and the average dollar amount you spend per person, etc) to us; we encourage you to submit this information so we can provide a more personalized experience and the option for you to receive special offers and freebies from restaurants. In the user profile you have the ability to set how often (daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly) you would like to be notified when you have messages in your MyRestaurantGuru.com inbox. Out of respect for your privacy, we present the option not to receive these types of communications. Please see the "Choice and Opt-out."

My Restaurant Guru is the sole owner of the information collected on MyRestaurantGuru.com. My Restaurant Guru collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on our Web site.
Friend Invite
If you choose to use our invitation service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for information needed to send the invitation, such as your friend’s email address and name. We will send your friend an email inviting him/her to visit the site. MyRestaurantGuru.com stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. Your friend my contact us at Tech.Guru@MyRestaurantGuru.com to request that we remove his/her information from our database.
Uses of Information
When you register with MyRestaurantGuru.com, you create your own profile and settings. Your profile information, as well as your "handle" or username and photo are displayed to people in the network to enable you to connect with people on My Restaurant Guru. We may occasionally use your name and email address to send you notifications regarding new services offered by My Restaurant Guru that we think you may find valuable.
Profile information you submit to My Restaurant Guru will be available to users of My Restaurant Guru. Your handle/username and profile picture thumbnail will be available in search results across the My Restaurant Guru network and those limited pieces of information may be made available to third party search engines. This is primarily so your friends can find you and send a friend request.
